'Mayday'to risk takers

This morning is lovely,

All's right with the world,

A soft breeze is blowing

The flag is unfurled.

The feeders are flowing

With seeds for birds' snacks

We're enjoying the morning

But stop in our tracks.

Just what do we see,

As we're checking around

But bird droppings and feathers

Right there on the ground.

Now the seed in the feeders

Hangs high in the air

And you birds should be safe

When you snack or perch there.

But a warning to birds

Lest you have a "Death Wish"

NEVER, NEVER SNACK
