Maryland resident nabbed in break-in
A Maryland resident was arrested at the scene of a burglary in Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 1:07 a.m. Sunday at the FedEx building at 52 Hickory Drive in Auburn.
Troopers said Carolos Queen, 30, of Accokeek, climbed over a chain-link fence that surrounds the property.
After walking through the parking lot, he climbed up onto one of the loading docks.
He then broke a window on an overhead door to gain entry inside the building.
Once inside he removed numerous electronic devices. He placed the items outside onto a loading dock and climbed out the window he used to gain entry. Upon hitting the ground he was ordered by troopers to stop.
Queen fled on foot, scaling the chain link fence and fleeing into a nearby wooded area and field. He was apprehended a short time later by troopers.
Queen was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon on burglary and related charges.
He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
