Lehigh motorcyclist killed in crash Monday
A Lehigh County motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Monday morning in which speed was a factor.
State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 3:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of Limeport Pike in Lower Milford Township.
Troopers said Michael A. Fisher, 21, of Emmaus, was operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound, just past Elementary Road, at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the bike, crossed the westbound lane and entered the berm.
Fisher was thrown from the bike as the bike traveled eastbound across roadside properties.
The bike and Fisher came to rest on the property at 3102 Limeport Pike, about 340 feet east of the point where Fisher lost control. The force of the crash caused the bike to break into two pieces, troopers said.
Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene. The county coroner's office ruled he died of multiple blunt-force injuries.
Troopers said Fisher was wearing a helmet and motorcycle jacket at the time.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 610-395-1438.
