Monroe driver facing DUI charge

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident at 3:37 a.m. April 26.

State police at Fern Ridge said Timothy John Guarrasi of Tannersville was stopped at the Scotrun exit ramp of Interstate 80 in Pocono Township after he was observed merging onto I-80 from the ramp without using his turn signals and weaving in and out of lanes at a high rate of speed.

Guarrasi showed indications of impairment. He was placed under arrest for DUI.
