Man charged with weapon at Pocono school

A Monroe County man was arrested late last month of having a weapon on school property.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred on April 26 about 5 p.m. at the Pocono Mountain West High School in Pocono Summit.

Police said Davuan Jackson, 20, of Tobyhanna, entered the school with a weapon on a duty belt. Jackson was not authorized to carry a weapon nor was he carrying the weapon for employment. Police seized the weapon.

Jackson was charged with weapon on school property, prohibited offensive weapon, both misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a summary.

Police did not specify the type of weapon Jackson had in his possession.
