Al-Anon meetings

Al-Anon group to meet Mondays at 7:15 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Church Hall, 120 E. Abbott St., Lansford.

Al-Anon is a nonprofit, worldwide support organization helping families and friends of loved ones suffering from addiction.

Cleanup day

Lansford Pool Board and volunteers will be doing a cleanup day Saturday at 10 a.m. at the borough pool. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, plus push brooms, rakes, gloves, etc.

Woman's club dinner

The closing dinner of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will take place at 7 p.m. June 1 at Platz's Restaurant in Lehighton.

Please make reservations as soon as possible with Jane Pietruch.

Summit Hill

Class of '58

Members of the Summit Hill High School Class of 1958 are asked to meet at St. Joseph's Church, 118 N. Market St., Summit Hill, at 9:45 a.m. Saturday to pay their respects to classmate Joan "Joanie" Tarsavage Thomas.

Coaldale

Tax office closed

The Coaldale Tax Office will be closed May 18 through 22.

Normal hours of 10 a.m. until noon and 1-4 p.m. will resume May 26.

Proof of eligibility must be included with filled-out application to qualify when filing for exemption.

The Coaldale Borough Office will also be closed Tuesday for primary elections.
