The engagement of Kim Marie Christie, Palmerton, daughter of Mark and Yvonne Christie of Tobyhanna, to James Edmund Gillen of Albrightsville, son of Michael and Carole Gillen, also of Albrightsville, has been announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is the a 2000 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, a 2004 graduate of Penn State University, and a 2007 graduate of Widener University School of Law.
She is an associate attorney at Strubinger & Gazo P.C.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of William Floyd High School and a 1997 graduate of Suffolk Community College.
He is employed in maintenance at Big Bass Community.
The couple is planning a wedding for Oct. 24 of this year.
