Schuylkill driver cited after crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:20 p.m. on May 7 along Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in Pine Grove Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Dennis L. Wolfe, 64, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2014 Ford Escape westbound when he was distracted by his cell phone and subsequently drifted to the right and onto the berm. The front of the Escape struck a mailbox and post, and a realtor sign before striking a utility pole with its left front. After impacting the pole the Escape spun counter-clockwise 90 degrees and came to rest in a yard of a home.

Wolfe sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Hershey Medical Center by Pine Grove ambulance. Troopers cited him for the crash.
