Drums, DVDs taken in Tamaqua burglary
Tamaqua police are investigating a reported burglary on Gay Street.
According to the report, sometime between May 6 and 10, unknown persons entered the vacant home and removed a drum set and approximately 75 dvds. The occupants were in the process of moving during that time frame.
Entry was made through a back window where the screen had been ripped out and the window pushed open. The drum set was valued at a little less than $3,000 and included 10 Piastic cymbals, several candy apple red and a few blue drums.
Police note there has been an increase in burglaries reported to the department and advise residents to lock their doors and windows and report any suspicious activity to 570-668-5000.
