Four women charged in Walmart theft
A Shenandoah woman and three accomplices were cited by Rush Township Police after a retail theft incident on May 13.
Dawn Benjamin, 28, was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft after stealing 120 items, valued at $994.34 from the HT Commons Walmart. She was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer after the 11:29 a.m. theft.
Bail was set at $10,000. She was unable to post the required 10 percent and was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison.
In the same theft, Darlene Bates, 55, of Shenandoah, Shannon Examitas, 35, of Shenandoah and Christine Ramirez, 35, all face charges of criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft.
