Monroe man facing multiple charges

A Monroe County man is facing multiple charges as the result of a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 5:47 p.m. on May 15 they responded to the 2200 block of Doe Drive, in Tobyhanna Township, for a domestic incident. The caller stated her ex-boyfriend, identified as Nicholas A. Hawn, 23, of that address, was outside the house with a knife. She further stated she had an active protection from abuse order against Hawn.

When officers arrived Hawn had already left the scene. The female told officers that Hawn had thrown rocks at the house, causing damage, and held a knife to his throat and made a slashing motion while pointing at her.

Police filed the following charges against Hawn, terroristic threats, simple assault, defiant trespass, harassment, criminal mischief, as well as charges pertaining to violating the PFA order.
