Neighbor's dispute leads to charges

One man was cited by McAdoo police following a neighbor dispute in the borough on May 4.

Officers were dispatched to the rear of 113 N. Sheridan St. and met with Manuel Lopez, who resides at 123 rear N. Sheridan St. Lopez was complaining about a neighbor who was yelling at the Lopez children, who were playing basketball in the alley. Lopez said the neighbor also yelled at him and "got in his face." At that point, he "pushed away the neighbor."

The neighbor, Traian Uca, told police he did yell at the children, but only because they were hitting his house with the basketball. He stated that Lopez grabbed him by the shoulder and pushed him.

Lopez declined to press charges, but Uca filled out a statement form.

Lopez was cited for harassment.
