Wet road blamed for Schuylkill crash

A wet road was blamed for a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday along Red Dale Road in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Gabrielle N. Hoynoski, 18, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe eastbound when she lost control due to a wet road surface. Her vehicle crossed into the westbound lane where it collided into a 2013 Lexus sedan driven by Indu Paul, 58, of Orwigsburg.

Both drivers and a passenger with Paul, Sharma Rani, 53, also of Orwigsburg, were uninjured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Hoynoski for the crash.
