No injuries in Schuylkill crash
No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 61 and Bacon Street in Palo Alto borough, Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Diane M. Wolfgang, 56, of Lykens, was northbound on 61 driving a 2009 Nissan Sentra while William H. Shive, 52, of Pottsville, was westbound on Bacon Street in a 2000 Dodge Neon. At the intersection Wolfgang failed to stop for a steady red traffic light and entered the intersection, where her vehicle struck Shive's as he entered the intersection to go south on 61. Shive had the green light, troopers said.
Troopers cited Wolfgang for the red light violation.
