Police looking for witnesses

Nesquehoning police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed an incident that occurred between 2 and 3 p.m. Tuesday on Route 93.

It was reported to police that a Ford Explorer was traveling south on Route 93 in the area of the borough line when a dump truck tire came apart and pieces of the tire struck the Explorer. The truck in question was traveling north on Route 93 and continued after the tire broke apart.
