Roving DUI patrol
The North Central Pennsylvania Regional DUI Enforcement Program has released results of a Roving DUI Patrol held Oct. 31 in Schuylkill County.
A total of 24 vehicles were contacted and detained. No one was detained or tested for suspected DUI. Officers also reported citing motorists for nine traffic arrests, one seat belt violation and issuing 15 warnings.
DUI enforcement efforts will continue to be conducted through Nov. 10 on routes 61, 183, 901, 209, 1006, 309, 443, 895, 125, 25, 924 and 54.
The checkpoints and patrols are funded through the state Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Motorists are reminded to dial 911 if they suspect a drunken driver.
