Man is charged after fight turns physical
A verbal argument turned physical Tuesday at an East Penn Township residence, police said.
The Pennsylvania state police in Lehighton responded to a domestic violence call at 5:16 p.m. at 44 S. Kittatinny Road in Carbon County. Upon arrival, the police learned that a 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both from Lehighton, had been fighting verbally when it turned physical.
The man allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and put it up to the woman's face, telling her that he was going to kill her, police said.
Police took the man into custody and charged him with making terroristic threats.
The woman did not sustain any injuries.
The man was arraigned before Magistrate District Judge Kissner and placed in Carbon County Correctional Facility.
