Arrest made in theft incident

A Schuylkill County man has been arrested for the theft of taillights from a vehicle.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 34-year-old Hegins woman had her Ford Expedition parked at 2 Fearnot Road in Hubley Township at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday when Preston Eger, 20, also of Hegins, arrived in the same parking lot in a Ford Expedition. Eger then proceeded to remove both rear taillights from the vehicle and fled the scene. His vehicle was later observed in Hegins Township and the taillights were recovered.

Eger has been charged with theft and related counts, troopers said.
