A 2007 Chevrolet Impala, parked in the 300 block of Lafayette Street, had its front passenger window smashed sometime overnight on Nov. 3 to 4. The report was filed at 11:20 a.m. on Nov. 4. A leopard print bag containing cosmetology supplies was removed from the car.
Also on Nov. 4, at 11:30 p.m., police were notified that someone smashed out a small rear window on a vehicle parked on Bowe Street. Someone then reached into the car, unlocked the door and grabbed a wallet that had been between the seats, in plain view. The actions set off the car's alarm.
The owner heard the alarm and ran outside but the suspect had already fled.
