Aleksandra Szymanska of Philadelphia and Garrett R. Cimms, also of Philadelphia, were united in marriage on Sept. 19, 2015, at a private ceremony at his parents' home at Bear Creek Lakes in Penn Forest Township.
Carbon County President Judge Roger N. Nanovic officiated the double ring ceremony. Agata Jochemczyk of Zurich, Switzerland, attended the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Bogdan Szymanski and Jolanta Szymanska of Pabianice, Poland.
She is a 2002 graduate of the University of Lodz where she earned a bachelor's degree in teaching. She holds a master's degree in linguistics from the University of Warsaw and a master's of business administration from the Lodz University of Technology.
She formerly worked for Sony Pictures Europe.
The bridegroom is the son of James and Karen Cimms of Jim Thorpe. He is a 2001 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, and a 2005 graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, where he earned a bachelor of fine arts.
He is employed as a graphic designer for Cenveo Publisher Services in Fort Washington.
The newlyweds currently live in Philadelphia.
