Schuylkill man charged

Published November 14. 2015 09:00AM

A Schuylkill County man was arrested on Tuesday after he caused a disturbance at a county business.

State police at Schuylkill Haven responded to Sapa Industrial Extrusions, 53 Pottsville St. in Cressona, for a report of a male trespassing and acting disorderly. On scene troopers found William H. Fail, 41, of Minersville. He was found to be in possession of a large kitchen-style knife. While attempting to speak to him and secure the scene, Fail became physically violent and attempted to gain possession of the knife. A struggle ensued during which troopers used a Taser to subdue him.

Fail was taken into custody and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street in Pottsville due to his highly impaired state. While at the hospital he continued to be unruly and threatened hospital workers with a knife. He was finally subdued and then taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, for additional treatment. Pottsville police intend to charge Fail with aggravated and simple assault, and related counts for the incidents in the hospital.

Fail was charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct by state police for the initial incidents in Cressona.
