A Monroe County teen was arrested after he led police on a high-speed chase.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday they attempted to stop a vehicle along Route 940 near Miller Drive for failing to dim its high beams. The vehicle failed to stop and continued on 940 east at a high rate of speed. The vehicle exceeded speeds of 100 mph. Due to the speeds police discontinued the chase.

A police officer further down the road observed the vehicle in question and stopped it. The driver was identified as Marcus Anastasiadis, 19, of 405 Stillwater Drive, Pocono Summit. He was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, careless driving, driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed and use of multi-beam lighting equipment.
