Man cited for no interlock system

Published November 17. 2015 07:47AM

McAdoo police have cited Henry Sernak Jr., of McAdoo for driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock system.

Sernak was driving west on Blaine Street at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, when he failed to dim his high beams to oncoming traffic. That traffic just happened to be a McAdoo police officer, who initiated a traffic stop.

When checking the driver's license the officer noted it required Sernak to drive a vehicle equipped with an ignition interlock system. The driver said he was aware that it wasn't legal for him to be driving a car without the interlock system.
