SNOWFLAKE 5K RUN/WALK Dec. 12

The annual Snowflake 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Walk will take place Dec. 12 in Lehighton.

The course begins and ends at Zion United Church of Christ, Second and Iron streets.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. start.

The event is hosted by Dylan and Gavin's Rainbow Ministry, which was established in memory of brothers Dylan and Gavin Krum, with the mission to reach out to families who are dealing with a serious illness of a child, as well as families who have experienced a child's death.

There are many age categories for race awards (three in each age group, male and female, five-year increments, from 14 and under to 70 and up.

Have fun while you run by wearing holiday attire. There will be a special prize awarded for the most creatively dressed runner.
