Driver facing DUI after Monroe crash
A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday along Route 191 in Cresco.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers responded to the above location for a crash.
During the investigation officers determined that Andrew Schickling, 49, of Canadensis, was northbound and crossed the double-yellow line into the southbound lane and his vehicle struck another vehicle head-on.
Schickling was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody and transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. Charges are pending the test results.
The police report did not identify the other driver or indicate if there were any injuries in the crash.
