Schuylkill driver facing DUI charge
A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 1:55 a.m. Nov. 18.
State police at Frackville said Alan J. Palumbo, 53, of Weston, was stopped for a traffic violation along Route 1005, near Schoolhouse Lane, in East Union Township. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol, troopers said, and submitted to a blood test at the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville. The test result showed a blood alcohol content above the legal limit of 0.08 percent. Charges were filed.
