Allison O'Connor and Brian Stewart

The engagement of Allison O'Connor of Whitehall to Brian Stewart, also of Whitehall, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Cheryl O'Connor of Tamaqua. She is a 2002 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, and a 2006 graduate of Bloomsburg University, where she earned a bachelor of science in elementary education. She graduated in 2010 from Alvernia University with a master's of education with certification in special education, reading specialist and midlevel language arts.

She is employed as a high school inclusion teacher in the Whitehall-Coplay School District.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Kevin and Elizabeth Stewart of Pottsville. He is a 2003 graduate of Pottsville Area High School, and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He is currently employed as an electrical engineer at Entech Engineering.

The couple plan to exchange vows on July 23, 2016.
