Lehighton couple wed 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. James O. Dailey of Lehighton are celebrating 60 years of marriage.

They were married Nov. 26, 1955, at St. Vladimir's in Palmerton.

Mrs. Dailey is the former Anna H. Szacska, daughter of the late John and Anna Szacska of Lehighton.

Mr. Dailey is the son of the late Orvis J. and Anna M. Dailey of Walnutport.

They have three sons, Dennis J. and his wife, Laurie L., of Tamaqua; Thomas J. and his wife, Barbara S., of Easton; and John O. and his wife, Renee M., of Lehighton. They have six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

A surprise autumn picnic to honor the couple was attended by 130 family and friends. They enjoyed a three-tier wedding cake, which was a duplicate of the original, complete with the original cake topper. Anna's dress was displayed, as was a timeline of family milestones celebrating the Daileys' happily ever after.
