Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Cavalry SPV, Mechanicsburg, filed against Rodney Rider, 924 Center St., Jim Thorpe, seeking $1,113.76.

Midland Funding, Philadelphia, filed 4 actions as follows: Coleen Murphy, 49 Elias Circle, Lehighton, seeking $1,790.08; Rose Smith, 1059 Mauch Chunk Rd., Palmerton, seeking $3,510.71; Rachael Simmons, 640 E. Second St., Weatherly, seeking $1,040.58; and Casper Seals, 178 Nosirrah Rd., Albrightsville, seeking $1,057.81.

Bank of America, Newark, Delaware, filed against Susie E. Green, 4618 Long Run Rd., Lehighton, seeking $4,191.40.

Barclays Bank Delaware, Wilmington, Delaware, filed against Susan Kaps, 66 Broad St., Beaver Meadows, seeking $4,230.72.

Bill owed

R.F. Ohl Fuel Oil Inc., 400 Interchange Rd., Lehighton, filed an action against Leanne Leming, 80 Main St., Berwick, alleging she owes a bill for services provided at 345 N. Ninth St., Lehighton. Sought is $2,465.88.

Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

Carrington Mortgage Services, c/o 1610 E. St. Andrew Place, Santa Ana, California, filed against Raymond Zeleznock, 8-10 E. Broad St., Beaver Meadows, over property at that address. Sought is $84,351.94 and continuing interest.

Waterfall Victoria Grantor Trust, c/o 5680 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard, Greenwood Village, Colorado, filed against Linda M. and Paul E. Carlson, 234 Pin Oak Drive, aka, 373 Pin Oak Drive, Jim Thorpe, over property at that address. Sought is $97,856.44 and continuing interest.

Wells Fargo Bank, c/o 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, South Carolina, filed against Diana Capellan, 4705 Henry Hudson Parkway West, Apt. 7G, Bronx, New York, and Caonabo Capellan, 520 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, over property at 520 Center Ave. Sought is $84,515.35 and interest.

HSBC Bank USA, c/o 2001 Bishops Gate Blvd., Mount Laurel, New Jersey, filed against Harvey A. Berk, 1900 Leonard Lane, Merrick, New York, over property at 10 White Oak Rd., Penn Forest Township. Sought is $126,400.44 and continuing interest.

Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank, 12 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, filed against James E. and Dawn Hunsicker, 15 W. High St., Nesquehoning, over property at that address. Sought is $24,944.52 and continuing interest.

Accident suit

Donegal Mutual Insurance Company, 1195 River Rd., Marietta, Lancaster County, for Allen E. Albertson, filed a complaint against David J. Hartranft, c/o the Carbon County prison, Nesquehoning, over an automobile crash that occurred on Jan. 31, 2014.

The suit states Albertson was driving a 1999 Honda Civic along Route 248 at Gun Club Road, and the defendant was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram truck when he made a right turn onto 248 from Gun Club Road and stopped causing a crash. The suit alleges Hartranft was driving under the influence at the time. Negligence is alleged and sought is damages of $20,000 plus interest, costs and fees.

Damage to pole

PPL Electric Utilities Corp., 2 N. Ninth St., Allentown, filed a civil complaint against Matthew J. Castellaneta, 559 Mauch Chunk Rd., Palmerton; Jeffrey P. Heller, 2686 Mountain Rd., Stroudsburg; and Jeremiah J. Croizier, 344 Pine Hollow Drive, Lehighton.

The suit states Casteallaneta was driving a vehicle owned by Heller that struck a utility pole owned by the plaintiff in the area of 2230 Fireline Rd., Palmerton, causing damages detailed in the suit. The suit further states Croizier was operating a vehicle that struck the pole during the same incident.

Sought are damages to the pole and equipment of the plaintiff. Damages of $16,040.17 plus interest, costs and fees is sought.
