Speed stop leads to DUI charge

A Monroe County driver was stopped for speeding and then found to be under the influence.

State police at Fern Ridge said Courtney Connelly, of Saylorsburg, was stopped at 2:50 a.m. along the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township. Connelly was found to be impaired and given field sobriety and PBT tests. Connelly was then transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending.
