Monroe man facing charges

A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 21.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to 190 Horseshoe Bend, Coolbaugh Township, for a report of an assault. On scene officers were told by the victim, not identified by police, that Dwayne Hester, 25, of 1119 Knollwood Drive, Coolbaugh Township, had forced his way through the front door and punched the victim in the face numerous times. Hester then fled the scene.

Police said Hester has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment.
