Driver cited after Schuylkill crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 2 along Route 25 in Hegins Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David F. Lisnock Jr., 39, of Valley View, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet S10 pickup eastbound and traveling up a hill after just negotiating a left curve. The roadway was wet due to a recent rain, troopers said. The rear of the truck began sliding, causing Lisnock to lose control. The truck turned counterclockwise and entered the north berm where the passenger side rear bumper and quarter-panel hit a road sign. The truck traveled up and along a dirt and rock embankment for about 35 feet before it turned over and came to rest on its roof in the middle of the road.

Lisnock sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. The truck had to be towed. Troopers said Lisnock was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
