Published October 10. 2015 09:00AM

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday for violating a protection from abuse order.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to 690 Sunbury St. in Cass Township at 5:08 p.m. for a person violating a PFA order. On scene troopers found Thomas John Roberts, 28, of Pottsville. He had violated the order by having contact with a 29-year-old woman from Minersville at the address listed.

He was arraigned on a charge of indirect criminal contempt by on-call District Judge David Plachko, of Port Carbon, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
