Driver cited after Monroe crash

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Duran H. Aiken, 20, of Effort, was cited after an incident at 6:25 a.m. Sept. 28 on Evergreen Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township. He had minor injuries.

Police said he was driving a 1998 Audi A4 southbound when he lost control of the vehicle after negotiating a right curve in the highway. Police said the vehicle spun 180 degrees into the left lane, traveled off the shoulder of the road and struck a ditch. The car continued to travel down the ditch where it struck a large rock, coming to rest facing north.
