Several drivers facing charges in Rush

Several drivers face charges after recent traffic stops in Rush Township.

Edward L. Rivera Jr., 30, of Tamaqua, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped at 8 p.m. Aug. 26 on Lafayette Avenue in Hometown.

Richard B. Simons Jr., 54, of Harrisburg, is facing charges of altered/forged/counterfeit documents and plates after a stop on Oct. 3. The registration plate on Simons' vehicle had an altered sticker. He will also be charged with driving with a suspended license. The stop was made at 8:56 p.m.

James Munch, 23, of Barto, Berks County, is facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped at 7:40 a.m. Oct. 7, on Mahanoy Avenue.
