Girardville man committed to jail

State police at the Frackville barracks said Gregory Wilson, 26, of Girardville, was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, following his arraignment on assault charges stemming from an incident at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday in Girardville.

The victim is a 59-year-old man.

Police said he was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment after a domestic dispute that happened on B Street in the borough.
