19-year-old Carbon woman returns home

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said a 19-year-old Penn Forest Township woman who was reported missing has returned to her home.

Police were looking for Serena Hipple-Gavars, described as being 5 foot, 1 inch, 130 pounds with brown eyes and red hair and wearing glasses.

Police said she left her residence on Aug. 29 and only had communication via telephone and Facebook with her legal guardian, Michelle Hipple.

Police said the woman returned home on Aug. 30.
