ATV crash leads to DUI arrest

John Hupchick of Glen Mills has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of an ATV crash that took place at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 2 in the area of 28 Lindsey Mews, Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said after responding to a report of the ATV crash they witnessed Hupchick display indicators of impairment.

Police said he sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment, during which time a legal blood draw was obtained, the results of which showed Hupchick's BAC level to be over the legal limit.
