Pine Grove man charged with robbery
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks arrested Cody Sticker, 22, of Pine Grove, with robbery after a gun-discharging incident at 2:36 a.m. Saturday at the Raceway Truck Stop in Tremont Township.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Police said they were summoned to the truck stop after a man, approximately 6 feet, 3 inches, and wearing a black mask, approached the front doors of the business, loaded a shotgun and shot one round through the glass door, shattering it.
He then kicked in the remaining glass, entered the business, and approached the victim demanding money.
Police said the actor threatened to shoot Singh if he did not cooperate.
Once he obtained the money, he fled through the door and traveled through the parking lot toward Interstate 81 on foot.
Police said Sticker was determined to be the robber.
He was arrested at about 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pine Grove Township without incident, after which time, police said, he confessed to committing the robbery.
