Free car seat check up
State police at the Hazleton barracks will be conducting a free car seat check up event in conjunction with the Kid Zone/Blue Mountain Health System from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
The program will be held at the radio stations WLSH/WMGK, located along Route 209, in Lansford.
Child safety seat technicians will be available to assist in the installation and address any questions or concerns.
The motoring public is reminded that the state's primary child passenger safety law includes: 1. Under state law primary child passenger safety law, children under the age of 4 must be properly restrained in an approved child safety seat anywhere in the vehicle; 2. Children from age 4 to 8 must be restrained in an appropriate booster seat; 3. Children from 8 to 18 must be in a seat belt.
