call for chef entries, recipes

The annual Pennsylvania "Taste of Elegance" competition,hosted by the Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council, is open to all chefs working full-time in food service operations. It provides an opportunity for chefs to highlight their establishment and culinary creativity.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, with first place receiving $1,000 and an invitation to attend the National Pork Board 2016 Pork Summit at the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone Campus in St. Helena, California.

Chefs must complete the entry form and submit recipes by Oct. 12. Recipes submitted will be prejudged. Up to 10 chefs will be selected to compete at the event on Nov. 15 at the PPL Center in Allentown.

Entry forms can be downloaded at wellnesspress.com/taste or requested by email at denice@rcn.com.

Finalists will be notified by Oct. 16.
