A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Mercury Hospitality LLC, located along Route 940, in Lake Harmony, Kidder Township, was cited for an incident on Aug. 5. The board charged the business sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to one minor, 20 years of age.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
