Monroe man pleads guilty in counterfeit case
A Monroe County man has pleaded guilty to conspiring to pass counterfeit bills at two area casinos last year.
Jason Mitchell, 30, of Tobyhanna entered the plea before Judge James M. Munley.
Mitchell was charged after a grand jury indictment in November 2014. He was among a group of people who allegedly conspired to pass $8,500 in counterfeit bills at Mount Airy Casino and Mohegan Sun Pocono during June 2014.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 18.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service and the Pennsylvania State Police's Bureau of Gaming Enforcement.
