State lien filed
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Harrisburg, has filed a lien against BLC Operators Inc., 100 N. Lake Drive, Lake Harmony, seeking penalty charges assessed to it regarding Unemployment Compensation Fund withholdings by the employer.
The judgment is in the amount of $999.94, plus $27.35 filing fee costs.
Wants cleanup costs
J & J Spill Service & Supplies Inc., Blue Bell, has filed a mechanics lien claim against improvements and property at 730 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, seeking payment of costs associated with fuel oil cleanup services the company provided at the residence.
The owner of the property is the Estate of Ruth N. Pocalyko.
The lien states the labor and materials for which the debt is due were furnished by the plaintiff for the agreed sum of $1,670 pursuant to a written contract dated March 16, 2015, agreed to by Richard Pocalyko, executor of the estate. The plaintiff alleges it has not been paid anything toward the debt for the service it provided on March 30, 2015.
Fuel oil bills
R.F. Ohl Fuel Oil Inc., 400 Interchange Road, Lehighton, has filed a judgment against Christen Strohl, 2360 Long Run Road, Lehighton, seeking payment for fuel oil delivered to the defendant.
The judgment was awarded by Magisterial District Judge William Kissner in the amount of $2,034.10 and includes an outstanding bill of $1,430.60, attorney's fees of $500 and filing fees of $103.50.
Heller's Gas, Berwick, has filed a judgment against Kenny and Mary Muller, 232 Ashley Lane, Lehighton.
The judgment was awarded by Magisterial District Judge Russell L. Lawton, Bloomsburg, in the amount of $850.26, and includes an outstanding bill of $1,055.01, plus costs and filing fees but less a $204.75 credit owed the defendants.
Credit default
Discover Bank, Parsippany, New Jersey, has placed on record a judgment entered in its behalf over a credit default by Carl Bush, 304 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton.
The judgment is in the amount of $1,734.91, which includes arrearages, costs and filing fees, less a payment/credit of $300 owed the defendant.
Mortgage foreclosures
Quicken Loans Inc., Detroit, has filed a complaint in mortgage foreclosure against Clara A. Ricker, 404 Fourth St., Palmerton, over a property at that address.
The plaintiff is asking the court to enter judgment in its favor in the amount of $67,152.86, plus interest, costs and attorney's fees.
JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A., Columbus, Ohio, has filed a complaint in mortgage foreclosure against Philip V. and Rebecca J. Miller, 26 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, over a property at that address.
The plaintiff is asking the court to enter judgment in its favor in the amount of $82,319.94, plus interest, costs and attorney's fees.
IRS files liens
The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, has filed two liens against Jeffrey and Charlene Daney, Nazareth.
One lien seeks unpaid 1040 taxes in the amount of $75,373.68 for tax periods ending 2011 through 2014, while the other lien lists 941 taxes in the amount of $29,458.32 for tax periods ending 2012-2014.
Two other liens have been filed against Robert Auguste, P.O. Box 687, Lake Harmony, listing an unpaid balance of 1040 taxes in the amount of $6,709.82 for the tax periods ending 2013 and 2014, and against Kenneth L. and Candy S. Knappenberger, 223 Repsher Lane, Lehighton, listing an unpaid balance of 1040 taxes in the amount of $12,531.46 for the tax period ending 2014.
Credit defaults
Discover Bank, New Albany, Ohio, has filed a credit card default complaint against Sarina Berlow, 338 Columbia Ave., Palmerton.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment in its favor in the amount of $11,553.70, plus costs.
TD Bank, N.A., Philadelphia, has filed a credit card default complaint against Mary Beth Pelley, 2 N. Spruce St., Tresckow.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment in the amount of $2,416.70, plus interest and costs.
