Man is jailed after assault in Schuylkill

Bradley Donton of Pine Grove was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment after incidents that took place between 12:01 and 5:10 a.m. Sept. 24 in the borough of Tremont.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the victim is a 28-year-old female from Tremont.

Police said the two were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical, after which time Donton allegedly began to choke the victim, causing her to sustain scratch marks to the left side of her neck.

Police said it was reported he pulled out a pocket knife that had a 3-inch blade and threatened to kill the victim.

Donton is being held in jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
