Police investigating robbery in Schuylkill

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a robbery that happened at 2:57 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Pilot Truck Stop, Pine Grove Township.

Police said the suspect entered the truck stop through the front door and proceeded toward the counter with a handgun pointed at two victims, a 60-year-old Pine Grove woman, and a 36-year-old man from North Carolina.

The suspect opened the middle register and removed an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the scene through the front door.

He headed west on foot on Suedberg Road, where he entered a car and drove off.
