PINK LIGHT WALK
The annual Pink Light Walk, a breast cancer awareness event sponsored by the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club, will be held on Oct. 6 at the Lehighton Recreation Center, Eighth Street, Lehighton.
Registration is at 5:30 p.m. The walk begins at 6:30.
The walk is being held in memory of Kay Teets. The speaker will be Carla Bednar, caregiver and Teets' daughter.
Register yourself or your team at Pinklightwalk@yahoo.com or call 610-379-4284 or 610-377-1053. For groups, the names of all participants must be included.
Donation of basket raffle items are also being accepted.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the walk, email lizzy2@ptd.net at least two weeks before the event. You will need to bring your own tables. There is a fee for renting a10-foot by 10-foot area.
