Multiple vehicles damaged in crash

Multiple vehicles on a car lot were damaged in a crash that occurred at 11:01 a.m. on Friday along Route 196 in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Daryl VanWhy, 24, of Tobyhanna, was driving a Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the right side of the road and his vehicle became airborne. His vehicle struck six vehicles offered for sale on the 196 Auto Mall of Tobyhanna car lot.

VanWhy was flown from the scene to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
