Bartender charged with stealing funds
A bartender at a Monroe County business has been charged with theft for allegedly stealing money.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said Thomas A. Caputo Jr., 30, who is listed as homeless in the police report, was employed as a bartender at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Tobyhanna Township. Police said on Saturday around 11 a.m. Caputo was observed placing cash payments for bar tabs into his pocket and not ringing up the sales into the bar's computer system.
He was arraigned on the charge before a district judge and posted bail of $500 and released.
