Pedestrian suffers minor injury

Tamaqua Police were called to the area of Center and Cedar streets at 2:05 p.m. Sunday for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

At the scene, they found Lee Roland Weyant, 35, of 62 Mahanoy St., Tamaqua. Weyant told the officer he was walking in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. He declined any medical treatment, saying his only injury was a scratch on his arm.

The vehicle was driven by Lois Walton, 76, of 446 Biddle St., Tamaqua.
